Plea follows terrible weekend of violence.
NSW Deputy Police Commissioner Peter McKenna has urged the NSW Government to do more to prevent domestic violence (DV).
The policeman’s statements, reported in the Sydney Morning Herald, follow a weekend where four fatal instances of DV were recorded.
Mr McKenna was quoted saying: “Government needs to make sure they are throwing every resource at it.”
The Public Service Association’s DV Needs Public Services campaign is calling for government-run services in all parts of the state for people fleeing violence in the home.
