Working from home: an update from the PSA

Working from home: an update from the PSA

State Government circular released

Members may be aware of the release today of the State Government’s circular on working-from-home arrangements. This is a good opportunity to look at your current work arrangements.

The PSA also understands that some worksites cannot physically accommodate all employees working onsite at any one time.

The State Government circular acknowledges there are “variations according to the needs of employees and organisations” regarding working from a specific site.

Any PSA member with a legitimate case for flexible working arrangements, including working from home, will receive support from their union.

Please review your current work arrangements. If you believe you have a case for flexible working arrangements that is being overruled by your employer, please contact the PSA at [email protected] or on 1800 772 679.

Unfortunately, they forgot to consult with PSA.

As a consequence, the PSA won additional time to provide any feedback in relation to the procedure.

The DCS WHS Issue Resolution Procedure aims to inform our employees how WHS issues are resolved and to outline the pathways to efficiently and effectively manage WHS issues that remain unresolved.

The pathways are designed to ensure reasonable efforts are undertaken to achieve a timely, final, and effective resolution.

The Procedure is supported by the DCS WHS Issue Resolution Form.

Members of the DCS Legal Services team, DCS Governance team, DCS People Services and DCS Safety and Wellbeing team provided input during the development of this procedure.

Members working at the Department of Customer Services are urged to provide any feedback to [email protected] or to call 1800 772 679 quoting reference number 224039 by close of business Monday 12 August 2024.
