PSA Recognition Week saw members in the NSW school system celebrate their roles in delivering quality public education.

The theme for 2026 was Thriving Schools Start With Us.

“The theme goes to the heart of why we go out and celebrate Recognition Week,” said PSA President Nicole Jess. “Without the members we represent, schools would not function.

“There are few government functions as important as education. Our members are there, forging a better future for everyone in NSW,”

Schools held morning teas, lunches and special assemblies, with members of the PSA Executive going out to talk to the staff about the issues they face in the workplace.

“Public service matters, and Recognition Week gives our union a chance to say thank you to our largest cohort of members, the people running the state’s world-class school system,” said Ms Jess. “We look forward to PSA Recognition Week 2027.”
