The CPSU NSW is inviting members to nominate for the vacant Clarence Correctional Case Officer (CCO) position on the Clarence Correctional Advisory Group.

The Clarence Correctional Centre was built by the Northern Pathways consortium in 2017 and was opened in 2020. Clarence is Australia’s largest correctional centre, with a maximum capacity of 1,700 beds, accommodating men and women of all security classifications in three separate areas. Clarence had been one of three privately run prisons in the state; however, it is now the only one as Junee Correctional Centre has been returned to Corrective Services NSW administration, and on 1 October this year (2026), Parklea Correctional Centre is now in public hands thanks to the consistent political pressure and hard work of PSA CPSU NSW General Secretary Stewart Little and members and staff of the union.

Correctional officers at Clarence Correctional Centre near Grafton NSW are represented by the CPSU NSW, the federal arm of the Public Service Association of NSW.

Clarence Correctional Centre Advisory Group meets before the Delegates Consultative Committee (DCC) on a bi-monthly basis. As a delegate you will liaise with members and put forward agenda items for the DCC and support members when required.
