Negotiations for new Award to continue.

The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) Employee Relations has advised the Public Service Association (PSA) that interim payments for psychologists will be made soon.

The DCJ has advised Payroll to process these payments and PSA members should start receiving their payments shortly, including any applicable backpay.

With the ratification of the Interim Award, the PSA said its focus now turns to the industrial process for achieving a Final Award.

“The goal has always been clear: Psychologists deserve fair, competitive salaries and promotional structures that recognise the important work they do,” said Assistant General Secretary Troy Wright.

The PSA has attended a Directions Hearing at the Industrial Relations Commission and established a timetable. Conciliation will continue throughout this process and any offers made during this process will be put to members for consideration and endorsement.
