Union shows solidarity with overseas workers.
The PSA CPSU NSW raised $1800 for APHEDA Union Aid Abroad during its recent Annual Conference.
Members and staff purchased raffle tickets and signed up as subscribers at the organisation’s display on the floor above the main conference room.
APHEDA Myanmar Campaign Coordinator Tasneem Roc (pictured) also gave a presentation about the organisation to the Conference.
APHEDA has supported the recent visit to Australia of Myanmar opposition figure Aung Myo Min, who was awarded the Sydney Peace Foundation Gold Medal during his trip.
“We are proud of our support for APHEDA,” said PSA CPSU NSW
President Nicole Jess. “Unionists stick together, regardless of what countries they live in.”
