Museum’s future discussed.
PSA General Secretary Stewart Little met with Minister for the Arts John Graham about the future of the Powerhouse Museum under Labor. He was accompanied by PSA Delegate Damian McDonald.
Mr Little has written to the Premier, Chris Minns, saying the planned $500 million redevelopment of the site will mean “the Powerhouse Museum will be emptied of all its collections and closed prior to the end of this year”.
He urged the Premier to reconsider the plan, which will force collections staff to relocate to Castle Hill during the renovation.
