Last Friday, Sheriff’s Officers in the Hunter and North region voted to expand the scope of their ongoing work bans.

Effective immediately, members passed a ban on performing any field work.

The work ban only applies to members in the Hunter/North region.

The ban is part of a series of statewide actions from Sheriff’s Officers, who want the State Government to recognise the hard work these Public Sector workers do with a pay rise.

Officers this week walked off in Griffith in the southwest of the state. Last month staff walked off the job in Wagga Wagga, Temora, Junee, Young, Cootamundra, Gundagai, Tumut, and Narrandera.
