A project helps those struggling in an emerging economy
Union Aid Abroad’s Women Worker’s Rights Through Stronger Trade Unions project in Cambodia is increasing women workers’ access to labour rights.
The group works with the government and three unions that represent urban women workers.
These unions are the Cambodian Food and Service Workers Federation; representing hotel and restaurant staff and the large number of women involved in food processing; the Building and Woodworkers Trade Unions of Cambodia; representing women employed in construction; and the Independent Democracy
of Informal Economy Association, representing workers such as street vendors, waste collectors, domestic workers and tuk-tuk drivers.
