“My role at Colo High School is to maintain the site and making the environment and spaces our amazing students learn in, safe, clean and presentable,” said this Champion of the State. “To perform my role efficiently, I need to liaise with all staff, trades and contractors onsite. I must be proactive and plan my day but at the same time, I need to be reactive and to manage different expectations as they arise.

“I love what I do. But as we all know, things need to change for GAs. Being on the General Assistants’ Advisory Group, it’s our responsibility to voice GA concerns and work towards better pay and conditions. The PSA gives us that voice.”

Wade knows his role is vital for NSW.

“I can see a positive change occurring when schools teach and connect with young people on all levels,” he said. “I am passionate about being involved in the delivery of this quality experience for all our students.”
