No job cuts planned, but there will be roles affected.
The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Commercial Development and Management representatives provided the change management plan (CMP) to the PSA on 4 September and have met with all affected staff.
While there are more roles in the proposed organisational structure (153 from 152), there are differences in the number of roles at certain grades which does not provide for direct placements of all affected staff.
The proposal however identifies lifts and shifts of branches, approximately 70 staff for direct appointment and a significant portion of the affected staff through pooled assessments.
The CMP, apart from providing some rationale for the proposed change, provides details on the placement options of all proposed roles. It has also provided detail on the current vacancies that will be subject to recruitment actions.
As part of the industrial obligations on the agency, Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure is required to consult with the PSA over matters of workplace reform.
The PSA encourages members to provide their feedback to the proposed reform internally to Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure as well as the PSA.
