The Public Service Association (PSA) has written in good-faith to senior management at the Environment Protection Authority requesting an urgent meeting.

“The PSA wishes to emphasise the importance of addressing members’ concerns in an attempt to reach an amicable solution,” said the union’s President Nicole Jess.

At a meeting last year, PSA members reported unsustainable workloads, resourcing gaps, system failures, leadership instability, classification creep, and a lack of transparency and direction.

“Even members not directly impacted by the restructure report experiencing heightened stress due to the cumulative effects of these issues,” said Ms Jess. “Many of these issues were identified as likely consequences of the restructure and raised at the Industrial Relations Commission.”
