Stay home: PSA strikes deal over workplace presence

Transport members not required to return en masse to office.

Just before the Public Service Association (PSA) was to join other unions at the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC), a deal has been struck over Transport for NSW’s (TfNSW’s) Workplace Presence Policy.

Late on Friday afternoon 6 February before the case went ahead, TfNSW agreed to delay its rules on workplace presence.

TfNSW has agreed that workplace presence will now need to be complied with by either 1 July or three months following a member’s stand-up date, whichever is later.

If a member does not have a position three months after your branch stands up, they will have four weeks after they find a position to comply with workplace presence.
