A solution for close for recurrent leave days that occur on public holidays.
The Public Service Association of NSW (PSA) has come to an in-principle agreement with the NSW Police Force (NSWPF) regarding the long-standing practice of not affording any compensation to rostered employees where their Recurrent Leave Day (RLD) falls on a public holiday.
Under the proposal, a shift worker rostered off duty on a Public Holiday may elect to be paid one day’s pay for that public holiday or to have one day added to his/her annual holidays for each such day.
The deal with Police will be taken to members for their approval.
