PSA is pushing for a better deal for members across the entire Public Sector.
The PSA is negotiating for improved wages and conditions for Psychologists employed in agencies such as Corrective Services NSW and Community Services.
In the wake of a substantial pay increase for Psychologists working in schools, the PSA polled its members employed as Psychologists elsewhere in the Public Sector about their pay increase for 2024-25.
The members voted for a 3 per cent pay increase, with the scope for further increases in wages after a work-value case in the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC).
If successful, Psychologists can expect higher wages and conditions.
Psychologists in the state’s schools received a pay increase in line with an increase given to School Counsellors, who perform a similar role.
“These people perform vital roles right across the Public Sector,” said PSA CPSU NSW General Secretary Stewart Little. “It is important their pay and conditions reflect this.”
