This past week PSA members all over the state celebrated the vital work they do in NSW schools.
The annual PSA Schools Recogntion Week was established by the union representing non-teaching staff to publicise the often-overlooked roles played by members in the classroom, office and grounds.
“Our members are vital for NSW schools,” said PSA President Nicole Jess, during a visit to Tallowood Public School. “PSA Schools Recognition Week lets the state know how much it depends on Public Sector workers.”
Throughout the state, members celebrated the week with breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas, special assemblies, and nights out.
“PSA Schools Recognition Week shines a light on a large section of our hard-working membership,” said Stewart Little, PSA General Secretary. “We know how important their work is. Now the rest of the state does, too.”
